Well what a busy month we've had with rehearsal sessions, preparing for our monthly live music night and our sound engineers mixing and mastering projects! So much so that we forgot to do an update, so here are some highlights from this month.
Colt48's EP titled II was released, it was recorded here at the studio and produced by our own Carl Brewer (Pointy Halo Productions) alongside Christopher Clancy (Wearing Scars). It sounds magnificent (if we may say so ourselves) - check it out for free on their Bandcamp page here

We have teamed up with video creators S57 Productions, who create great videos for bands and artists in unique locations. Filmed in our live room, here is the first of many more to come, featuring The Holy Dead performing their track Paradise.

After last years success, we're proud to be offering one of the winner's prizes for Local Music Live - a single professionally recorded, mixed and mastered here at the studios. Here's a bit more info about the music competition from the organisers...
John Dash and Dave Stankler formed The Local Radio Network around a year ago. They're excited to announce that their very first project Local Music Live returns to run through March and April 2018. Thanks to their amazing sponsors Howarth Timber they now have more radio stations, more airtime, more social media, more radio shows and an even bigger prize for the winning musician or band.
This includes studio time from Red Wall Studios Recording Studios & Rehearsal Rooms, a professional video from Harris Creative, expert advice from DMF (Digital Media Frontier) Advertising and an appearance at the prestigious ARIAS (Audio and Radio Industry Awards) in Leeds in October organised by The Radio Academy.

Colt48 have supported such Rock giants as Trapt, Fozzy, Sick Puppies, The Ataris, Courage My Love, InMe, Crazytown and William Control.
Tracked over three days, the band consisting of Adam Jerome and Matt Savini, recorded their drums, guitars and vocals for mixing & mastering work to be performed by Chris. The release is scheduled with an awesome launch night at London's legendary Borderline venue, on the 16th March. Check out their social media - FaceBook Twitter
We've had the immense pleasure of the talented metallers Midnight Prophecy in the studio this past week. They opted for a semi-live production, with the core of the songs being tracked over the first weekend and then the following days adding guitar over dubs and vocals.
They were in session with our very own Carl Brewer and his production brand Pointy Halo Productions. Hats off also to Ollie Eardley of OE Drum Co. who did a fantastic job of being drum tech!
Here's a bit about the guys...
"Midnight Prophecy are a 5 piece heavy melodic metal band; based in Liverpool (UK), who formed in late 2015. The group of Craig Cairns on Vocals, Christopher Dixon & Danny Quayle on Guitars, Peter Mansfield on Bass and Sam Caldwell on Drums & Percussion.
They fuse earth shattering drums, galloping heavy bass with powerful melodic guitar riffs, combined with sensational old school vocals, for an awe-inspiring deliverance of metal into one coherent and pure driving force.
Their sound has evolved from a mutual love of great music to create a blend of power, groove and melody that entrances and excites music lovers, having provided support for bands such as: The Jokers, Disquiet, Twisted Illusion & Maiden Lancashire."
Taking influence from history & mythology, there main influences consist of: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon, Helloween & Gamma Ray and plenty more!
Their hotly anticipated album is due for release early in 2018.
You can check out their Facebook page here
Catch them live this Wednesday November the 1st at Studio 2 on Parr Street, Liverpool. Tickets £3 in advance.

Last night we had a rather special occasion at the studio - an intimate gig night for the launch of Twisted Illusion's ace brand new album, Insight to the Mind of a Million Faces. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered here at Red Wall by Carl Brewer's Pointy Halo Productions, so a very fitting unveiling!
We'll begin our new blog with a little expose for one of our regular bands here at Red Wall, Faith In Glory. They recorded their excellent first album Opia with our in-house engineer Carl Brewer and are currently occupying one of our permanent rooms. Here's what they have to say about themselves...
"The members include Jack Collins on Guitar and Aiden Collins on Bass, they are the bands vocalists as well as being the bands brothers,
Ollie Eardley on Drums and Backing Vocals, and Brendan Bell on Guitar and Backing Vocals. We would like to give a shout out to some of the people who have helped us so far, we want to say thank you to Carl Brewer, who recorded and produced our album, Opia! Matt Darwell (Jack and Aidens brother who has done more for the band than anyone would actually realise), Matt Seddon of Moshaholic Promotions, Keith Vaughton of Keith Vaughton Photography, Aaron Slater of Aaron Slater Design,
Ashley Pomfret of Excel Records and all of our family, friends and fans for the constant support.
The band originated back in November of 2014, Jack and Ollie (Who had been in previous bands together) decided they wanted a long overdue jam, but rather than it being just the two of them, they wanted to get other members involved. Jack knew Brendan through his work, and knew that Brendan played guitar but had no real idea what style he played and what level of ability he was at. They brought him along anyway and they instantly clicked, after realising this could actually work, they went on the look for a bassist. After a week of no luck they grew impatient so Jack literally told his brother Aiden that he was the new bassist (Bearing in mind, he had never picked up a bass before this phone call) and he accepted the offer. It wasn't until January 2015 that the band officially formed as they had a few issues to iron out, like Aidens lack of ability and motivation, there was no band name and had no clue what direction the sound was going in, but since then Faith in Glory is becoming a known name in the British Hard Rock Genre with the name spreading as far as South America.
Our style has been compared to the likes of Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry, and Tremonti but with a British edge. In an ever growing Rock Scene in England, we strive to grow and improve with every single gig we play, and because of the dedication and passion we put into our own music we quickly gained a following which is ever growing."
You can catch them live tonight supporting Blaze Bayley (Wolfsbane, Iron Maiden) at Sound Control in Manchester, along with Babylon Fire. Below are some links to listen to their tunes and stalk... ahem follow them on social media :)
